“This new performance dashboard website is a fantastic tool for every American to see if the mail is coming on time in their community. As countless people continue to rely on the Postal Service, the performance dashboard will make this critical institution more transparent than ever before. This was a key piece of my bipartisan legislation to strengthen the Postal Service for the future, and ensure transparency and accountability for postal customers. Going forward, I’ll continue working to ensure every American can count on the Postal Service to stay connected for years to come.”

In addition to requiring the creation of the website that the Postal Service launched today, Peters’ Postal Service Reform Act eliminated onerous burdens that harmed delivery services and helps prevent future cuts to service by saving the institution nearly $50 billion dollars over ten years. The law also requires the Postal Service to continue delivering at least six days a week.

Peters also helped secure $3 billion in the Inflation Reduction Act to help the Postal Service purchase safe and modern electric delivery vehicles and invest in charging infrastructure. As a result of these efforts, the Postal Service is purchasing more efficient delivery trucks, including vehicles made by the Ford Motor Company and members of the United Auto Workers.
