The newly established DHS Annual Awards in Countering Human Trafficking recognize and reward major counter human trafficking efforts and contributions by Department personnel. Comprised of five distinct categories, these awards recognize DHS employees, teams, and a DHS partner organization for outstanding leadership, superior public service, and/or significant contributions that further the Department’s efforts to advance counter-trafficking operations, protect victims, and enhance prevention efforts.

The first awards will be conferred on Jan. 31, 2023 by the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Director of the DHS Center for Countering Human Trafficking in honor of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month and every January thereafter.
