CGC is sending its best Rocket League team to compete in the USO Commanders Cup at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, May 13. There, the team will face the best Rocket League teams from each of the U.S. military branches.

“We’re incredibly excited to be doing this for a third year in a row,” said Ian Wright, the USO Gaming Community Manager. “It’s so cool to have all six branches willing to travel and compete; that really shows the growth of each branch’s gaming program and the support they’re getting from their leadership. The USO has been supporting our military and their families for over 80 years, and this tournament is the perfect example of how that support has not changed and continues to evolve to meet the needs of our servicemembers.”

The Rocket League team roster is:

  • YN2 Ethan Adams
  • IT1 Alex Alfonso
  • MST2 Claudio Giugliano
  • EM2 Reece Womick
To show your support for CGG, please watch the event live at 10 a.m. EST on Twitch. If you're local to Eglin AFB, come show your support from the crowd!

The Community Services Command’s (CSC) Morale, Well-being, and Recreation (MWR) program and Coast Guard Recruiting Command partnered to create CGG, an inclusive gaming community where members of all ages, ranks, and backgrounds can come together and share gaming experiences that form positive relationships, enhance competitive spirit, and improve esprit de corps.
