The team operates weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. It will be available through Sept. 30.

The PCS Assist Team can support you and your family in situations that require non-traditional assistance and action. As you organize your PCS move, you should seek counseling assistance from your command and fully use resources from personnel and administration offices as well as regional transportation offices.

The team is uniquely positioned to intervene directly with contracted movers and Joint Personal Property Shipping Offices for challenging situations beyond the traditional scope of service administrative and transportation offices.

Team Lead, Chief Warrant Officer Jeremy Bloom, said the first three years provided “proof of the PCS Team’s positive impact on Coast Guard workforce, directly enabling the most challenging transfers to move forward.” He encourages members with emergent needs during the moving process to call or email the team for immediate assistance.

"For our members lacking traditional recourse, notably with challenging Personally Procured Moves (PPM), the PCS Assist Team offers competent and experienced advocacy," Bloom said. "We have had significant success rates during previous transfer cycles advocating directly with various moving companies for positive resolutions. We intend to continue that successful support system during the 2023 transfer season."

The PCS Assist Team returned after providing critical support to Coast Guard members who moved during the 2020-2022 transfer years. The team reports to the Coast Guard’s Director of Operational Logistics (DOL).
