We are issuing policy guidance in the USCIS Policy Manual to address how we provide mobile biometrics services. The purpose of the new guidance is to reduce barriers for benefit requestors who are unable to attend appointments at Application Support Centers to provide biometrics, such as fingerprints, required for certain benefit requests. The guidance describes the circumstances when we may offer mobile biometrics services and when we may use the services of other agencies closer to the address of the requestor.

For more information, please see the policy alert (PDF, 303.37 KB) and our Preparing for Your Biometrics Appointment page.
