Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan A. Tokash, who is handling the case, stated that

according to the indictment, on March 25, 2019, the defendant made a threat to take the

life of, and to inflict bodily harm upon, the President of the United States. Specifically, the defendant sent a letter to a United States Secret Service Special Agent stating, Im [ ] gonna kill Donald Trump with Anthrax when I get out.

In addition, also on March 25, 2019, Brown threatened to assault and murder United States District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo, his spouse, and a United States Secret Service Special Agent. The defendant intended to retaliate against Judge Vilardo and the Secret Service Special Agent on account of the performance of their official duties.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
