This is not only a great day for you, but its also great for the Uniformed Division and the Secret Service overall, said Alles during Fridays ceremony. I am very confident in your ability to lead our Uniformed Division officers.

During the ceremony Dyson thanked his family for attending and credited his work ethic and call to service to his father who spent his life in civil service.

I want to thank everyone for this opportunity, said Dyson. Im excited for the future of the Secret Service, especially the Uniformed Division. Ive watched it grow for the last twenty-nine years and Im ready to help lead it into the future.

In existence for nearly 100 years, the Secret Service Uniformed Division is responsible for physical security of the White House Complex and Vice Presidents residence at the Naval Observatory. It also provides security for the Treasury Department building and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington D.C.
