The following press release was published by the U.S. Secret Service on Sept. 10, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

(Washington, D.C.) The United States Secret Service (USSS) announced today the launch of its newly revamped website and a free mobile application (app). The new website and app will provide the Secret Service with a more innovative and direct way to deliver important information to the public about the agencys missions and activities.

The new app and website will allow us to communicate more directly and transparently with the public, said Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy. This comes just in time for the upcoming visit by Pope Francis and the United National General Assembly, when we will be providing timely information to the public, especially for residents and visitors in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. As our agency continues to move forward in this information age, we are going to continue to find ways to serve the public and keep them up to date on our missions.

The Secret Service collaborated with NIC Federal LLC on the app to provide easy access to public USSS resources, including safety alerts, announcements, recruitment and employment resources, field office contact information, and more. The Secret Services internal design team collaborated with SRA International to design and build a website that will enable the Secret Service to more effectively communicate critical information to the public, using SRAs Agile for Gov methodology which incorporates cutting edge technology and a strong focus on user experience.

Visit the newly revamped website at www.secretservice.gov, and find the new app in the Apple Online Store as a free download.
