WASHINGTON, D.C. --In cooperation with our law enforcement counterparts, theUnited States Secret Service has made adjustments to the security perimeter at the White

House complex. Beginning at midnight, Tuesday, March 18, the following areas havebeen closed to pedestrian traffic: Pennsylvania Avenue and E Streets between 15th and

17th Streets; the 17th Street sidewalk adjacent to the Eisenhower Executive OfficeBuilding between E Street and Pennsylvania Avenue; and the 15th Street sidewalk

adjacent to the U.S. Department of the Treasury between E Street and PennsylvaniaAvenue.

As we have in the past, the Secret Service will continue to evaluate and review thesecurity measures around the White House complex. Every attempt will be made tonotify the public of any adjustments that may impact pedestrian or vehicular traffic in thatarea.
